This ecosystem is further enriched by innovative startups like QPS, which are actively engaging in the space sector. The prefecture's dedicated efforts in fostering the space industry were acknowledged in September 2020 when it was designated as a "Space Business Creation Promoting Municipality" (S-NET Municipality) by the national government. This accolade has spurred an uptick in companies keen on entering the space sector, with the prefecture committed to intensifying its support and actively facilitating new ventures in the space industry.
