EV Motors Japan to Begin Construction on a Commercial EV Assembly Plant in January

Kitakyushu-based EV Motors Japan, a company that develops and sells commercial electric vehicles (EVs), has announced plans to build an EV bus assembly plant in Kitakyushu City. Construction will begin next January, and completion is scheduled for the end of 2023. The plant will be built on approximately 55,000 m2 of land and will produce 7 meter-long community buses and 11 meter-long route buses as well as logistics vehicles. The company will invest about ¥4 billion in the construction project which is expected to create 50 to 100 new jobs.
