To ensure the efficient acceptance of refugees from Ukraine, Fukuoka Prefecture established the Ukraine Refugee Support Coordination Council, whose members include Fukuoka Prefecture, Kitakyushu City, Fukuoka City, the Fukuoka Prefecture Mayors Association and Fukuoka Prefecture Towns and Villages Association. This council will be used to consolidate information on support for refugees from municipalities, companies and organizations within the prefecture and share it with municipalities as well as to collaborate with organizations that provide consultation services, employment assistance and other support for foreign residents. In addition, the Prefecture is working to ensure that those individuals who have evacuated to Fukuoka Prefecture from Ukraine can live with peace of mind by establishing a consultation system and providing support for residence in prefectural housing and securing daily necessities.
