Fukuoka Airport received the highest 5-Star Airport rating in the Regional Airport category of the World Airport Star Rating program conducted by UK-based Skytrax in March. It is the fourth airport in Japan to earn the distinction, following Haneda Airport, Narita International Airport, and Chubu Centrair International Airport, and the first in western Japan. Skytrax praised Fukuoka Airport for its "excellent management and operational reliability, outstanding passenger experience, and clear commitment to investment and continuous improvement," stating that these factors were key to achieving the 5-Star Airport rating.
