The Kyushu Semiconductor Industry Exhibition opened at Marine Messe Fukuoka on October 8^th and 9^th, bringing together 398 semiconductor-related companies and organizations from Japan and overseas. Launched last year following Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's (TSMC) entry into Kumamoto, the event has expanded to roughly 1.5 times last year's scale and drew 13,640 visitors. In addition to major companies with bases in Kyushu—such as the Toshiba Group and Mitsubishi Electric—small and medium-sized enterprises aiming to expand their businesses or newly enter the sector also took part.
