Fukuoka City has launched a new initiative to support small and medium-sized IT companies in hiring IT engineers from India. The program provides matching support between companies and candidates, along with assistance for Japanese language learning and immigration procedures. While India continues to see rapid development in its IT sector, Japan faces a persistent shortage of IT professionals. By helping local firms recruit highly skilled Indian engineers, the city aims to alleviate labor shortages in the domestic tech industry. Employment placements are expected to begin around April 2026.
