Taiwan's China Airlines has resumed regular flights between Fukuoka and Kaohsiung, Taiwan. The route originally launched in October 2015 but was suspended in March 2016. Responding to strong calls for its return and anticipating demand driven by Kaohsiung's status as Taiwan's largest industrial city, the airline has restarted the service after nine years. Andrew Lin, Fukuoka Branch Manager, commented, "With TSMC's entry, demand from business travelers is increasing. We expect usage of the Kaohsiung route, along with Kumamoto services, to continue growing."
