The Fukuoka Labour Bureau hosted a career fair in Fukuoka City targeting foreign students enrolled in universities, graduate schools, and vocational institutions throughout Kyushu. A record-high 1,200 students, primarily those graduating in spring 2026, participated—reflecting a rise in international student numbers following the easing of pandemic-era entry restrictions. Thirty-one companies, including JR Kyushu, Nishi-Nippon Railroad, and Isuzu Motors Kyushu, took part in the event, promoting their businesses and products at dedicated booths. Amid growing labor shortages, many companies are actively stepping up efforts to hire international talent.
