Global cosmetics manufacturer and distributor Shiseido completed construction on a new plant in Kurume City, its first in Kyushu. The new plant will serve as a production hub for skincare products, for which demand is growing, and it will utilize IoT and other cutting-edge technologies as well as the latest equipment to generate innovation. From 2026 onwards, production volume will be increased to the maximum of approximately 140 million units in an effort to respond to future demand. Also, by taking advantage of its location in Kyushu, Shiseido will be able to ship its finished products to customers throughout Asia from the Port of Hakata in a shorter time than usual.
